The world famous Bolshoi Ballet’s very first guest tour to the Kingdom of Bahrain on 12 and 13 November 2016 proved a great success. A line-up of 11 top ballet dancers showcased excerpts from well-loved choreographies at the Bahrain National Theatre. “Diamonds“ by Georges Balanchine, Marius Petipa’s pas de deux from his ballets „Don Qixote“ and „Talisman“ or Mikhail Fokin’s “Dying Swan“ set to music by Camille Saint-Saëns were among the evening gala’s highlights.

Rieder Art Consulting would like to warmly thank the Minister of Culture, H. E. Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, H. E. Hala Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and Mrs. Samah Abdul Wahab Mattar for the gracious invitation and the hospitality. The honorable presence of HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, lent heightened importance to this very special guest tour. All dancers greatly enjoyed their guest performances at the sold out auditorium and would be happy to return to Bahrain again.
